October has been a month full of joy, learning, and sweet treats here at Summit Health and Rehabilitation Center in Taylor, Arkansas.
We kicked off the month with an exciting outing to the Sci-Port Discovery Center in Shreveport. A group of our residents had a blast exploring the interactive exhibits and diving into the wonders of science. From hands-on experiments to fascinating displays, the day was filled with curiosity and laughter. It was a wonderful opportunity for our residents to engage with new ideas and enjoy a change of scenery.
After the adventure, the group headed to Shane’s Seafood & BBQ to enjoy a delicious meal. The seafood was a hit, and the smiles around the table said it all. Good food and great company make for the best memories. Everyone returned home full and happy, already reminiscing about the day’s highlights.
Later in the month, we hosted our very first Summit Bake Off, and it was a sweet success! Residents and staff came together to celebrate the art of baking, and our judges had a delightful time tasting all the homemade goodies. The competition was close, but we’re thrilled to announce our winners. First place went to Mary Harris, Leslie Jones earned second place, and Mrs. Belinda took third place.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated and supported our talented bakers. Your enthusiasm and creativity made this event truly special. We’re already looking forward to next year’s bake off.
